MISSION

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), of New Orleans, is an agency which advocates on behalf of children (birth to 18) who have been judged victims of abuse and/or neglect. The mission of CASA is to provide trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in court. Our goal is to ensure that every child has a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

Program Objective

CASA New Orleans Advocates represent the best interest of abused and neglected children in Orleans Parish Juvenile Court. Our goal is to ensure that every child has a safe, permanent, nurturing home

Program Description

Our program matches community volunteers with children in the Orleans Parish foster care system. These volunteers are a stable adult presence in the child’s life, and provide a voice for them in court. We provide extensive training and support to our volunteers as they work with current and former foster youth aged 0-18+
