Kids Rethink New Orleans Schools- Rethink Clubs

Rethink Clubs operate during the school day and after school as enrichment programs in New Orleans public schools. Club members develop leadership skills. They identify issues in their schools to "rethink," such as food or bathrooms, and then dream big, coming up with innovative solutions to these challenges. In 2009, Rethink Club members from Fannie C. Williams and Joseph Craig taste-tested recipes made with healthy, local ingredients that they are recommending to school officials for inclusion on their schools' menus.
