MISSION

To foster motivated, confident and responsible children by providing mentor based programming and to support new and existing organizations by recruiting, screening, training, placing and supporting volunteers. Each One Save One is a non-profit organization dedicated to the children of our community. Our mentors are caring adults who commit to mentoring one hour a week, each week during the school year, during the school day. Our mentors meet at the child's school for mentoring activities that include help with conflict resolution, problem solving, tutoring or just to be a caring adult and guide. Each One Save One 's objectives through mentoring: Improve young people's attitudes toward their parents, peers and teachers. Improve academic performance. Reduce truancy and drop-out rates. Reduce juvenile delinquency and gang involvement.

Program Description

Valuable Information

Grades Served: 3rd - 12th Special Needs Served: Limited School Requirements: Students are selected to become EOSO mentees through parent, social worker or teacher recommendations Family Requirements: Students need to be at one of our 14 partner schools and be selected into the program. The student also needs to bring a guardian signed consent form. Transportation Provided: No Participants must attend partner schools Neighborhood Served: Central City, East Garden District, Gentilly, Mid-City, St. Roch, Treme, West Bank, Uptown Other Parishes Served: Jefferson & Plaquemines
